I had a lady write me a bad check last year for $180.
After a few visits to her front door, I heard her on the other side.
She never opened the door. I knocked on the door nonstop until her husband opened the door. He wasn’t happy!!!
As soon as I told him that his wife told me to stop by and collect cash from him, he changed his tune. He saw that I wasn’t backing down. He was all huff, and no puff.
    I got my cash.
I DON’T BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WORSE THAN A THIEF.

Interesting tidbit. I never gave it a second thought.
I assumed it was due to the technical design.

An RSS feed would send us a daily “newspaper” of all post for the previous day, in the form of an email.

I ordered the 2 piece heavy coat. It is nice to have the removable liner.
I would like to see HB offer an iron on “HB” patch for the removable liner.

The liner looks good, and is very comfortable. Just not complete without the logo.

    Not a problem.
Everyone understands when you have allergies.

As far as wearing the mask while applying stain guard:
Again, it won’t bother them when you tell them that you apply it 6 times per day, 5 or 6 days a week. However, I do ask that elderly and ill people are not in the room while it is being applied.

    Brett,
I buy paper respirators, and use them while I vacuum.
Good quality ones with 2 bands (straps) only cost about $22.00 for a box of 20.

    set up a $20,000.00 a year account

Wow! Is that just carpet cleaning?
    Or carpet and auxiliary services?

I agree with Brian, it is what you make of it.

Now is a good time to critique your phone sales, quality of service, & detail your equipment. As the months and days go by, we as humans tend to pick up bad habits, or sloppy procedures. Now is a great time to evaluate your employees and yourself. Brush up on training, and make improvements.

Don’t forget to add that WOW factor, for the customer.

Matt has a point… I have recently noticed that when I accept a Rewards card, it cost me about $15.00 plus monthly service.

I’m looking at changing. At the very least, I am going to shut down my AMEX and Discover accounts.

I would also like to see pics from inside one of the new GMC vans.
I just ordered one, and there are so many little things that need to be thought out ahead of time.

I have seen pink discolorations in some moist areas.
Moisture can be trapped by desk chair pads. I can certainly see where it would be trapped by a waterbed, or simply laying a rubber mat on top of carpet.

    Dave,
I’m priced by the room. I do baths and halls for free. The average hall here is about 4×4. It is like you said, you find it hard to charge $40 for a kids room, but when you add in the free hall, free baths, & closets; the customer is getting their money’s worth.

Doing this also allows me to give them a more firm price for the service requested. (Short of excessive filth or something.)

As far as going to one part of town or the next, I figure it all works out by the end of the year, that I am coming out ahead of the game.
I just go around the furniture, so currently my 4 room price is $165.
($41.25 per room) I do more small rooms per year, 125 s/f or less, then I do large.

However, I occasionally come across a mater closet the size of a bedroom, and I charge it as a room. Or if the upstairs landing has a large square area (such as kids homework area), I will charge it as a room.
