Average job=650sf x 1penny=$6.50 -or- 2 pennies=$13.00. No big deal, most will not flinch. Now, 1 nickle=$32.50, that will catch some off guard(previous customers and previous charge). So, a penny now and a penny later-soon your up 4-6 cents.

Ron- Ive raised my prices because I want to make more, simply as that. I went from .13(in 93) to .25-.30(in04). I look back on some of my first invoices and man was I giving it away!!!!!!!!!

In all honesty, 95% of homeowner don’t know a thing about thier carpet warrenty, what it covers, and doesn’t. Most homeowners void the warrenty by themselves because they don’t do the things that are required to be covered. Clean every X months, spot cleaning, vaccuming, ……………………..

Heck, some probably dont even have or know were the paper work is. ❗

So, the new mill guidelines don’t worry me..

All over this great country and within our industry SS and CD are recognized for thier marketing efforts-more than for thier quality. Don’t get me wrong, the local CD is good and we have referred work to each other. Complaints for SS are 3 times higher than the national average. I would say that HB is 3 times lower than the natioanl average because of our focus. In your ad’s focus on drying time, working on the hard spots, moving furniture, ……………….NOT low prices. We are not the Walmart of CC.

Ask the home office if you can get solution and vac hose extentions, probably an extra 10-15 ft will help you. Years back I got a 7ft extention(dont ask why 7, and not 8 or 6), seems to be just enough for what ever Im working on-RV’s, long stairs, many uphol. pieces in the room…..
