Yellow Book

I just wanted to let everybody know of an experience I had with YellowBook.Com.
I don’t have a print ad with this company only I “Top Placement Ad”
Being that their online version is somewhat new I lucked out and got this ad for $105 per month which seemed reasonale to me.
What a top placement means…OR SO THEY SAID…..is that when anybody types in “carpet cleaning or cleaners” in Bergen County, NJ or any town in Bergen County I would always come up 1st or 2nd.
The 2 top placement ads flip flop from for 1st & 2nd place after every refresh or re-click.
They only sell 2 top placement ads per category and I was the 2nd carpet guy to take this placement
Sounds good so far right.
Well, I wanted to check out my own ad to make a modifcation and where was I….NUMBER 7 on the list.
After calling my salesperson and her not responding, I finally called the manager at the local office and explained the problem.
He sadi he would look into it and never got back to me.
NOW I”M BOILING MAD
I very calmly walked into the local office and got the top dude in the office.
I explained that they are not being professional, suggested breach of contract blah blah blah.
They are blaming it on a tech problem which I don’t buy.
But the best part was when I suggested that I might call the other guys in my category that are also being screwed and tip them off.
That’s when his wig fell off and he almost vomited.
Point being…Don’t assume that the big companies are honest and reputable.
Nuff said.
