If you have never visited their site, go to Shaw Industries DIY page (http://shawfloors.com/Tips-Trends/Carpet-Cleaning-DIY) and check out the paragraph at the bottom of the page. I wrote an email to their customer service saying I would no longer recommend their product to any of my customers, and I suggest you do the same. All 5 approved systems of carpet cleaning can damage the carpet when done improperly. I get annoyed when we (bonnet) get singled out for some reason, yet as John Halibaugh said, more carpet is cleaned by bonnet throughout the US than steam cleaning, including Air Force One. Let your voice be heard.

I just post a comment on their Facebook website. I don’t think, the Shaw will like me for that 😀 .

Good idea Adrian. Their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/ShawIndustriesGroupInc. One thing though, I would be hesitant to post anything as Heaven’s Best (I didn’t, just said I was a carpet cleaner) as we don’t want Cody or Heaven’s Best in general to feel the reprecussions of anyone’s comments if they are too passionate with their feelings. Not saying you did, just throwing that out there. Also, if you read their warranty, it says you have to use an IICRC approved cleaner and cleaning method. Funny, bonnet is an IICRC approved cleaning method last time I checked.

My carpet in my house is over 25 years old. It has never been soaked & sucked. The only method of cleaning I have ever used is the bonnet system. Carpet has never distorted from the buffer & pads. In fact it still looks great.

I would expect Shaw and many other manufacturers and retailers to knock our process for the simple reason they are fully aware the damage pressurized water extraction does to the carpet fibers and the laminate backing. They are in business to sell to carpet and thus push HWE as their preferred method of cleaning.
