I just want to encourage all of you operators out there who have not made the transition to the new logo to consider something. Why would the fastest growing carpet & upholstery cleaning franchise (5 years running) make a logo change when our old logo was keeping us on top? Most of the state owners agreed along with Cody that making a logo change was one way to make operators more succesfull and help grow the franchise even faster, again making current operators more succesfull. It’s that simple. Our franchise is growing rapidly and soon HB will be a household name. It’s time for some of you to step up to the plate and take a swing. Make a safe investment into your business that will generate an awesome return. If you’re not willing to swing than why play the game.(forgive the pun-I just finished watching the World Series) Think about it.

While I agree – I think some state owners have forgotten what it’s like the first few years. Sometimes with a family you have to scratch a little with your finances. 1200$ is a big scratch for a lot of people. I’m going to change just as soon as I can! As will most folks I imagine. Discussions on this board need to cover both sides to each concern – it is healthy. Sometimes it seems like if you dare bring up a concern, you are somehow an enemy of the company. We need all sides, all view points, that’s what makes us better!! I’m ready for my wrap – but with one in college, one going next year, and one in high school – two still in braces, etc.,etc….. family comes first….we have to eat

Ammon, this is technically not a pun but an analogy. A pun is when you play on words, for instance, I formally used hot water extraction but it sucked, where “sucked” has two meanings.

You are correct, it is good to voice concerns. it is good to hear well thought out and legitimate concerns. But I find it hard to listen to complaining and whining, which you are not doing, by the way.
I do agree with Ammon, apart from the horrible attempt at a pun, that the upside is huge once you can swing it. Just to reinforce to you guys down there, at $1200 you are getting a steal of a deal. A steal!

I have never been one that was afraid to question. I want to take a look into things in depth before I just jump in. There is nothing wrong with questioning things that will effect my buisness. Sometimes things that sound like complaining and whinning are legidiment concerns. I agree that there are times that it goes to far. I read this forum at least six times a week just to see what things are brought up, and how does it effect me. I understand what Jeff is saying in that While I care about me and my investment, a state owner is more concerned about the entire state. For good reason the state is your investment. I ordered my logos this week for one of my vans, and I am concerned with the problems that others have encountered. $1200 might not be that much for some but to others it is. I myself am looking at around $4000 due to the fact that we have three vans, and need to change over 6 employees work shirts. This is in fact a lot of money

    Good going Greg

you will really be happy with the look of the vans and the shirts on your guys. They will feel great driving the new van and wearing the new shirts. You will see.

No offense to any one person, but I keep hearing all positive from state owners and concerns from operators. That is troubling.

    Hey Ron, No offense taken.
Some of the make up of a state owner is to look at the big picture and see things in the long run. With that being said, Every state owner in this subject section has also an operating area. We also have the same “new logo” expense. No one has close to the expense of change over than Cody does. He is paying $400 of the $1600 expense to have the logos on the vans installed.( not to mention the total amount for research before all this got started) He understands as most all state owners and city owners alike. The new logo will make a difference in the long and short run. We have had many examples of city owners that have replied about how well people have responded to the change. There is allot more up than down to this change. You just have to see the beauty in the forest not just the sap on the tree. Breath in, breath out! Every thing with in it’s time. I also have to budget for things. This year alone I have had over $25k in out of pocket medical expense. We can always find someone worse off than us. Life is great! Heavens Best is among that great!

Thanks for everyones comments. Like Gordon has said, state owners do not recieve any kind of a discount on the new logos. We also do not make any money on the new logos. That being said my transition cost me around $4000. Two van wraps, uniforms, equipment logos, business cards, etc. If you’re sceptical you shouldn’t be. The new look far surpasses the old one and the quality of the new logos are great.

Why would being positive from a state owner’s perspective be troubling? Being positive is the way most people live their lives. Even in adversity, isn’t it amazing that people can be positive? I’ve found positive people see things differently. . .the broader view maybe. I’ve met all the state owners and they all strike me as positive people and I’ll bet they were before they became state owners. I also read this forum every day and have had the pleasure of meeting many operators. Heaven’s Best is plum full of positive people . . . is that troubling too?

Anyway, the jousting is probably good. Kinda like Fox News . . . fair and balanced.

Exactly! Kind of like PTI on ESPN – when it’s over, you’ve considered all the angles and have confidence in your knowledge of the subject a little better. I enjoy reading what other people say – it makes us all ‘sharper’ in our attitudes. Personally, I can’t wait to get everthing – including the van – changed over. Next I’m getting b.cards & shirts. But I’m a cash kind of person – and so…it may take me just a little longer than some other folks! That does not make me negative, or skeptical about the change. We have until next summer – so everyone else: breathe in/breathe out! There should be no pressure to rush into poor financial choices either – if you have to wait a few more months, the worst that can happen is maybe some more of the ‘bugs’ can be worked out! Hakuna Matata!!! This is a great group of folks!!

Well said Bryan, a positive attitude served me well in my former career as restaurant owner (12 units )and area owner in NJ, and NC, for Blimpie restraunts. I always took note of the positive attitude of the successful people around me and realized it was not just a coincidence.I think sometimes we forget this change is only a few months old and would be impossible to pull off without a few hitches.
At age 38 I went through 2 years of Chemo and Dialysis, my life was in great danger. My strong Faith in God, my family and a positive attitude got me through. I now have one of my wife’s kidneys, lost 30 pounds since this past April (I better get a new piture) and never felt better I’m now 47 and loving my new career.

Wow Joe, that is an awesome life story! Glad things are really going well for you. I think we are very luck to be part of this company. I have spoken with other franchise owners (non-heaven’s best) and I feel gratefull for what we have compared to some of the other franchises out there.

I have been in business for 7 months now and I have switched to the new logos, etc. and love them. I feel that if I am going to grow this biz, I will do whatever it takes. I trust our ownership and the state owners and feel that as a whole they are looking out for our best interest. Fortunatelly, I had funds set aside expecting the unexpected this year. But, remember, everyone has 18 months to change over as well.

The great thing is that this forum is excellent for debate, concerns, questioning, and input. I enjoy reading the different points of views and I have personally learned a lot from this forum. I have concerns now and then as well and have seen those same concerns pop up in this forum, and after some good input and responses, things usually get cleared up.

I think it is great that we have the forum to question and have some healthy debates. It will only make us stronger in the long run… 😀

    Thank you Guys

I have been around franchising since 1980 and I have seen alot of them come and go.I feel this one is Great. It has a combination of a great system a main office that Cares about and listens to the concerns of the operators. It also has a awsome group of men and women who go out every day and care about quality and customer service first and realise the profits will come.I think we all get the basic principle” we reap what we sow”

I cant wait to see you guy in Vegas

    Joe
