I actually worked for HB for the last 4 years, my wife has a BA in English and when we got married, decided we wanted to work together. No point in getting married to be apart. Since we both believed in the product we decided HB was the way to go. Exercise, income and time together. What more could you want out of a job!!!!

August 9, 2006 at 3:24 am #145955hbottumwaParticipantI’m posting this for Dave Daffer. He lifes in Baker City Oregon. He owned a bicycle repair and sales store. He had a great business but was tired of waiting for people to come to him. He sold his business, then bought an existing Heaven’s Best business. Because of his supurb repution for excellent bike repair at a fair price, people have flocked to Dave to have him clean their carpets. Dave’s population in Baker City is 9,860. The county population is 16,741 plus a small neighboring county. Dave the last few months in a row has exceeded the best ever for Eastern Oregon by 20%. He is doing great!
October 17, 2006 at 9:00 pm #145956AnonymousInactiveMy parents, wife and I owned and operated 3 convenience stores and 2 car washes in Iowa. I was sick of babysitting the stores morning, noon and night and my dad was just plain burned out managing everything. So he sold out and retired and I moved to Colorado and the rest is history.

Just curious, where did you live in Iowa? How do you like the change to carpet cleaning?October 18, 2006 at 2:17 am #145958AnonymousInactiveBryan,
I lived in Marshalltown where my parents still live. We come back several times a year to visit. I believe I’ve stayed in Charles City for Ragbrai back in my cycling days. Ahhhh those were the days. Maybe I’ll look all you Iowa boys up the next time I’m back. Managing convenience stores pales in comparison to carpet cleaning. I could go on all night over the advantages of carpet cleaning over what I used to do but, the biggest ones are less stress, less hours and more money for my time.October 18, 2006 at 2:36 am #145959AnonymousInactiveRick,
Glad to hear this has been a good change for you. I use to own a motel, and I like these hours much better too. Let us know when you come back to Iowa, maybe we can put together an HB contingent for a get together. You going to the convention in Las Vegas?October 18, 2006 at 2:49 am #145960AnonymousInactiveBryan,
Yes, I will be in Vegas and that would be nice to see you guys in Iowa some day. I’ll let you know when we will be headed your way.November 5, 2006 at 3:04 pm #145961Dan ChildParticipantI began carpet cleaning in September, and I wish I had done this 10 years ago :). The metro-Atlanta area is great, and I am sure we will do well.
My education includes a doctorate in educational leadership, a master of divinity and a bachelor in business administration. All of my educational experiences and professional experiences have truly helped me become a better business person. This is definitely a great platform for me and my family to create the future we so deeply desire.
I am proud to be a floor care specialist aka carpet cleaner 🙂 😀
Thanks guys for your leadership and commitment to making this company great. It makes it easier for the new guys.

Welcome to the HB family. I remember talking to you a few months back and was impressed with your enthusiasm. That combined with all the things this company offers, you’ll have great success. If I can do anything for you at any time, please call or write. My personal cell phone is 641-330-0246. Vicki and I wish you great success.November 6, 2006 at 2:14 am #145963jrcarpetclean22ParticipantMy wife and I decided to purchase our franchise because I was tired of being a number on a financial spreadsheet in the clinical laboratory industry. My background is in sales and marketing and I hold a BS in Business Management. We were customers of HB for a number of years in Surprise, AZ prior to moving to Missouri. Jack always did an excellent job! We researched many different franchise opportunities, but HB was always my first choice. I love the work, my customers, and the organization as a whole. For us, this was the best decision we ever made.
November 16, 2006 at 8:18 pm #145964kw4662ParticipantWhen I was 21 I was hired at Tempur-Pedic Inc. in warehouse/shipping. I was promoted quickly and set my sights on the warehouse manager position. Well, be careful what you ask for ’cause you just might get it, I sure did. I realized I wasn’t happy and left. 6 years down the tube.
Next, I was hired at a trucking company, (recently aquired by UPS). Pretty good money but I had no life, working from midnight until 10:30 in the morning, tuesday through saturday I never saw my wife and kids. 5 years down the tube
So, a local operator who happens to be a childhood friend has been with HB for 2 years and he’s doing really great.
I Just got back from training with Cody last week. Hopfully this will turn into my dream job.

Hope you enjoyed Idaho. I’ll never forget it (2 Years ago). I will pray for you guys. God Bless you all.

If you haven’t given your professional background, nows your chance! (again)
