I’ll start off by saying thanks to Ammon Child for his excellent contribution to the Newsletter this month. Nice job! It got me thinking . . . (that’s scary!) During these economically uncertain times we need to keep working to find new and different ways to find new customers and keep the old. So, I’d like to ask all contributors for their 2 cent worth. If we all give one example of an advertising success, we will all be rich with new ideas.
I’ll start and hope this will get a lot of participation. In the month of March only, we sent out a postcard for 25% off all work to about 850 of our current customers. Investment was $450, and the return was over $8,000 of business alone attributed to the promotion. We had a minimum of $95 and a very short life for the promotion. The card was a colored postcard from our HB ad section and modified with our March Madness Special.
