Hi Everyone,
We were contacted by Perma-Plate, a fabric protector warranty company for auto upholstery. The client had orange soda splash on the seat and the door panel. They contacted Perma-plate for service who in turn sent out Chem-Dry. Chem Dry made a mess of this car! After their attempts, they left behind some sort of white residue and a water mark or so it appeared.
We were able to remove the residue from the seat and mostly from the door. The vehicle owner was so happy with Heaven’s Best she contacted Perma Plate and told them to use us all the time. They authorized us to go back a second time to attempt to remove the rest of the residue/stain. And we did! It looked great after a little more work.
Has anyone else done warranty work for Perma Plate or another company? I have not billed them yet. Since we are new operators I want to get an idea of how much to charge. They never asked how much….I was thinking of a minimum service charge of $125 for each call out.
Suggestions?

What I like about them is I get to bill them whatever I want; unlike Guardsman where they pay you a flat rate. I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed those floor mats for about an hour. I’m gonna bill them $100. Faxing in the invoice right now. Keep you posted on how long it takes to get paid.

I have tried to find a good contact number for someone to talk with at this company to see if it is something we can do in my area but cant seem to find the person I should be talking to so if anyone has any contact info for these people that would be great. As for corporate trying to set something up I would recommend everyone just try arranging it them selves as it will happen alot faster.
January 26, 2010 at 11:39 pm #153599AnonymousInactiveI dealt directly with Diane Diamond at 800-453-8470 Sisken Enterprises, manufacturer of Perma Plate Products. She was the customer service rep that I faxed everything directly to and received timely payment.

Just wanted to say thanks for this info. I spoke with Diane today and she stated that they are looking for operators all over the US and anyone interested should contact her and she will set you up as a vendor for your area.

August 24, 2011 at 4:55 pm #153602AnonymousInactiveI have my first PermaPlate job scheduled for Saturday. Any advice or anything else I should know? Seems pretty easy, before and after pictures and their inspection sheet filled out and submit the invoice. I am planning on charging $125 minimum.
