I would like to see a few more votes here. 8 votes is not enough to judge the results. If you have ever given VALPAK an honest trial, please post your vote.
    Thank you!

I’ve been using valpak consistently for over a year now. It has worked really well for me. Some months better than others. Wouldnt recommend participating if more than one other carpet cleaner is advertising as well.

I have never tied val pak but I do use a company called RSVP. They target the 40-50 thousand richest people in your area. I like focusing on the high end clientel. You might want to try them. My first mailing was 5 cents per postcard. 40,000 was 2000 dollars. I broke even on the first tiral. Will try again in March.

We have a local business that does something similar to val pac. tehy come out every 2 or 3 months depending if they have enough businesses interested. I have done this 3 times and each was very successful. Cost was $200 to reach 10,000 households. I offered a generous discount and mde that up with protector sales. The first printing, Spring, I had 35 jobs of the cards. 30 on the second, mailed in August, and 25 on the last one which was printed in October for November mailing. Average ticket was $190.

    Mike,

We have Val-Pac in San Antonio and usually three to four cleaners are in the PAK each month. I have made the decision not be take part for two reasons. 1. Too many others already do it. 2. Most importantly, I have made the decision that I do not want to position us as a low priced cleaner.

I am open minded and will continue to review this, along with all other options for advertising, for the future.

val pak was a waste the three x we tried it . each time we lowered our prices about 25% and that was not enough.i wont ever use them again.i don’t feel like associating us with low ball, bait and switch soakers.you get what you pay for in most of those company’s.most of them are here for today not tomorrow.here are some of the prices i have seen.5 rooms includes hall $85.00,1000sqft.max.couch $35,luv seat $25,chair $15. if you decide, do some research prior to see where you need to be.each time i was the higher priced guy,and that was even lowering prices to where i have never been before.good luck.

I did Val-Pak a few years ago and was disappointed. It seemed to me like it brought in clients more concerned about price rather than quality. Not the customer base I’m looking for.
