I’m brand new to the business, so I’ve only used my upholstery mate on 2 jobs. Tomorrow I’ll do my 3rd job with it: a rug and a sectional. Here’s my problem: on every job so far, the upholstery mate trips a breaker. Usually multiple times during the job. This is a little embarrassing to say the least.

Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas for a fix? I don’t really want to buy a generator just to use my upholstery mate without tripping breakers in my customer’s house.

Try pluging it into a high rated outlet? in the kitchen or bathroom. I’ve only had that problem a handful of times.

Great idea! I guess the other benefit would be that a GFCI outlet can be reset at the outlet if it trips. Would save me a trip downstairs to the breaker box. Thanks

I agree. Only had that problem a hand full of times too. I always try plugging into the kitchen. If I have to plug into the living room, I’ll ask the customer to turn off the TV as to not trip a breaker.
