Does anyone currently do any tv or radio commercials? I would like to try some commercials on cable to see what kind of response I get. If anyone has tried it can you give me some feed back on how it worked? costs involved? Is Cody creating a TV commercial for our use or is up to us to create one? Any help would be appreciated!
August 15, 2007 at 1:22 am #150472AnonymousInactiveWe have ran a radio ad. We did it on a sunday only twice. We got some calls. Wasn’t a return on inverstment. But we got more calls than expected. and at the time that was working better than any other advertising we were doing. This last 3 weeks we ran a full schedule, with no calls at all. Not sure if it’s bad timing or wat. Over all radio we would definitly keep it on if we could afford it for branding to keep the name out there but right now it’s Just to expensive. We have a tv ad on now just started yesterday. So we don’t know how that is going to work yet. Hope this helps.

August 15, 2007 at 1:44 am #150474AnonymousInactiveJason at corporate sent us some of the tv ads. The radio the station made up. I don’t know wat the tv ads look like though my partner got to see them I didn’t. Lifetime is expensive. In our market any way. We are on a local channel that shows real estate houses for sale. We are thinking about goin on th WE channel. We just gotta figure out wat is a good show that women watch on there. That was the cheapest cable channel at $6 per spot.

What would you guys think of a national TV commercial. I posted a this topic a while back and am not sure if it’s under this heading or another. I will try to find it. If not, then see if you guys can find it. Some operators agree. Some don’t. What do you all think.

Look under NEW LOGOS AND RELATED ITEMS—COMMERCIALS—for a chunk of info on this. You guys are discussing a more localized commercial obviously but thought you might be interested.

August 15, 2007 at 11:16 am #150477AnonymousInactiveI would definitly be up for a national comercial. We would probably get a much better rate than we would doing it just locally. It would also help get the name out there to start branding as well.

September 2, 2007 at 5:00 am #150479FL18ParticipantCorporate sent me some commercials with new logos and all. They look like they are made for national tv and look great. We have been in contact with local tv stations and to my surprise it is actually prett cheap.

We’re experimenting with all sorts of new mediums for advertising. One of the things we’ve been experimenting with is television commercials. We’re starting at the most cost effective methods of producing these, and moving towards more professional development.
Right now though, this is where we’re at. After a few failed attempts at low-cost filming, we decided to work with preshot footage of professionally shot Heaven’s Best video clips of our process and brand. We’ve worked out a video montage, with a professional narrator and music. So far the operators that have been experimenting with it, have seemed to like it in the initial phases.
So far we’ve done the personalizing of the commercials and shipping of the dvds for free to see how the commercials would pan out. But, alas, all things must come to an end. The burning and shipping costs us $15 alone, not to mention the time I spend personalizing these commercials. We have two last freebies going out, with which we’re going to see how well television stations can work with a generic commercial. (i.e. one in which the station would have to enter in the telephone numbers.)
If they are willing to plop in the phone numbers at little/no cost, by the start of next month a generic heaven’s best commercial cd will be available on the shopping cart at very little cost to you ($12 – $20)
If we find that operators need the commercials personalized here at corporate the commercials may cost a little more ($20 – $30). These prices are merely guesses of the top of my head, we’ll have to see what’s actually involved in production. But we’ll have it figured out by the first of October.
So that’s the scoop. If you have any questions let me know. grover@heavensbest.com

Eventually we’ll try to offer these online. But if you’d like something on the radio drop me a line, grover@heavensbest.com , I’ll see what we can do.
September 4, 2007 at 9:55 pm #150482Larry youngParticipantWould it be posible for you top post a sample so we can check it out? thanks Pat
