Has anyone cleaned an actual suede sofa? Any issues with that?

    Thanks

Results may very, In my cases the fabric dried stiff.
If the customer knows this before cleaning, then it doesn’t become a problem.

Is there an easy way to identify suede from micro-fiber? I have done the micro-fibers, but haven’t come across actual suede yet. I have a job coming up next week and the client doesn’t know if it is suede or micro-fiber. Not sure if suede feels much different.

A quick way to tell is to smell it. If it is actual suede leather, it will smell like leather. Most furniture has a fabric tag under a cushion or on the bottom.

    Thanks for the info,

the customer said that he bought it used and that there was no tag…

If the customer bought it new, ask them how much they paid for it. Suede is more expensive than micro-fiber.

it most likely will have zippers. look at the backing and that will be a dead give away.
