    Brian is correct in his trouble shooting the air leak at the suction side of the pump. This is known as a “vacuum leak” in the pump world. this can be as simple as a loose connection, pinched suction, suction screen collapse, diaphragm perforation etc. etc. Good thing these pumps in the HB world are diaphragm type pumps. I have had my share of issues with the power sprayers…the 110 v sprayer worked better for me. The battery sprayer has never been my favorite. I think there is room for improvement in this area of equipment. Diaphragm pumps should have the pressure relieved after use in order to prolong the life of the diaphragm. It is also a good idea to rinse the sprayer after use so it doesn’t become brittle from the solution sitting in the pump cavity. When servicing these pumps it is better to replace the complete assembly (motor and pump) unless you are well versed in these pumps.
