InactiveHas anyone had a problem with the sprayer not self priming? If I let the solution run low, then change to a full container it does not prime itself. Has this happen to anyone else?

InactiveYes . . . I just try not to run the jug completely empty. At the end of the day I’ll combine the remaineders of the jugs so that no solutions go to waste.

InactiveMake sure there are no air leaks on the suction side of the pump. Check the hose for pin holes and the hose-to-pump connection. Just a guess.

InactiveThanks Brian and Brian. Not a lot of fun “Self Priming” the sprayer on the job. I well check for leaks.

InactiveWe ended up exchanging a pump for this reason. Ours was still under warranty and it wasn’t hard to change. It sure beats priming again and again. If you don’t find any air leaks the pump would be my next guess.

Participantours was an airleak going into the pump, we just cut the line a little and adjusted the clamp and it was good to go.

ParticipantHow do you “self prime”?
I’ve had this issue happen quite a few times and would love to hear how to fix it.April 2, 2011 at 1:28 am #154966Anonymous
InactiveFirst, raise your jug up high, put your sprayer lower, and try that. I got mine to work once or twice that way. We usually had to put suction on the sprayer though. I used the small portable extractor unit for that. I put the end of the sprayer inside the opening on the extractor and put my hand around to to form a partial seal, enough to get some good suction on the sprayer. That usually primed it. After I replaced the pump I didn’t have the problem any more.

InactiveThe only problems I had with the battery terminals was when by accident I broke one of them off. 😳 Had to buy a new one. 🙁

InactiveUse a plier to slightly crimp the clip tighter.
