InactiveI was approached recently by a friend of mine who coaches girls softball, ages 9 through 12 if I would be interested in sponsering his team.
I love sports so we sat down and talked. Once he told me the name of the team would be ” THE HEAVENS BEST ANGELS” I could not say no.
So now I will have 16 girls wearing Heavens best shirts and hats in front of family and friends. Also the local paper does a great job of covering local sports. I figure this will cost me about $500 the first year and $250 a year in the future.

ParticipantI won’t say do it, I will say please do it. I plan to do this with my sons Baseball team in the spring. Get a banner to put on fence as they are playing. I was going to call us the angels as well. Maybe we can start a National Heaven’s Best Baseball/softball club. A lot of teams in Texas and some National teams do this. They will have 30 or 40 or more teams with same name in different leagues and age ranges. Let me know how it works out for you. If not good, have fun anyways.

ParticipantI’ve done this several times in the past (5 kids). It’s fun. First don’t expect much from it. It’s a name on a team shirt, there’s allot of teams. Second and most important is how you act and comduct yourself on the field. If you become a jerk. Don’t expect to get a call. Not one. Remember who you are! Be heaven’s Best! Treat each kid as an angel and you will pass out allot of business cards. Many times I got more calls after the season then during. The key is… If you really care about the kids and it shows, you will care about the carpet… and the loyal calls will come.
