I may be posting this in the wrong area but found it to be most used and thought I would get the most responses out of posting it here.
I am aware that some of the operators that have been around for some years have the older style sprayer that does NOT have the cart on wheels to make life easier. I however have the cart that is on wheels and it has been a pain in the azz from day ONE. I have a problem where the little white caps (same as the ones on the upholstery mate) keep popping off and I dont notice till its to late to find them. I have replaced them literally 15+ times and yet it keeps happening. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to resolve it? I have thought about drilling a whole where the white caps go and putting a cotter pin there instead but thought I would see if anyone else has had this problem and was able to resolve it any other ways. I cant imagine I am the only person this happens to so I look forward to the replies.
Thanks

I think it just needs to be a cleanfax purchase or whatever company can supply one. I have had several problems with mine, leaks, electrical etc. in fact I have a batt operated one that really never did get the job done. Wont hold a charge and the plug for it never worked all that great. it is in my garage collecting dust….

I would like to use your name, but it isn’t posted.I have thought about your problem, and I believe I have a solution for you.
Use a hack saw blade to make a groove all the way around your axle, in about the same location where the teeth of the white caps should rest. Then install new white caps.
I don’t know what kind of clearance you have on the dolly, as I don’t have one. If you need to, remove the blade from the saw and wrap tape around one end to create a more user friendly handle.
Good luck,

We ended up putting a worm drive clamp on it and that was all it needed. I think the white caps look better so I would try using the hack saw and putting in a little grove first. Or due what I did and use the sprayer with out the cart. There are times that I have been frustrated with some of my equipment. I wonder who in there right mind built this or that. Then I sit back and realize it is not that bad. I had a call from a friend in the business and he just had some bad news his motor went out on his truck mount and he needed me to pick up some jobs for him. He will be down for a week and it will cost 3k just to get it up and running. With lost jobs and the repairs he is looking at 8k out of pocket.

PatJuly 6, 2009 at 2:32 pm #153631pachecoParticipantWe ahve both sprayers and never bought the cart…nor would I. Waste of time and money…carry. walk and spray. I know it must be fun spraying down steps…
When we had a 2nd sprayer and the stupidity of not rounding the sharp corners of the unit ruined 3 pair of pant for my son….i ground them down with a Dremel
