thanks for the tip mike but think i’m gonna pass on the franchise xpress for now. prices in my area are way way to high. and yeah i’ve learned that its true that what works in one area might not work in another. for the most part everybody puts down val pak/money mailer but in my area it has worked out really well for me. by far the most succesful form of advertising yet!

    Evan,
Your decision may be the best for now. You would have had to scramble to get in the next run and make a very rushed decision on what to put in your coupon. The next run of flyers won’t come out until right before Christmas, which is too late for much of a return.

Spring is a good time to advertise. If you want to try them sometime, study on it and consider the Feb, Mar, or April run. February flyers do well for me here, but our Spring weather comes earlier than yours. I ran flyers for three months in a row last Spring and did very well with them.

You could also use this time to research options with your local newspapers and with the Franchise Xpress reps. Maybe you can get that price down.

    Evan,

You might consider postcards. They are inexpensive to mfg, send or leave with neighbors. We have done 2 now and they paid for themselves almost immediately and then kept on paying. We are just going to go to the printer with a card for us to leave at the three homes across the street and the houses on either side of our customer…no pricing at all..just introduction of us and our services. We have received numerous positive comments on their creativity…and only 2 average jobs pays for the 5,000 we are going to purchase.

Just a thought for you to consider. Wish you the very best.
