Will sign-a-rama take of our existing stickers. If not how hard are the to take off and how? I guess I can call them, but this will save a lot of calls.
June 1, 2006 at 5:09 am #146577AnonymousInactiveI’ve taken mine off to replace it and it was easy, however it was on for only a few days at the most. I’m not sure how difficult if it’s been on there for months/years.
June 1, 2006 at 3:23 pm #146578Mn09ParticipantYes sign-a-rama will take your old logos off but it will cost you $400. You can take them off yourself by using a heat gun or a blow dryer and heat up the vinyl and them peel if off. If the glue is left on the paint or the window take some TGP and a rage and get it off. MAKE SURE THAT IF YOU USE TGP ON A PAINTED SURFACE YOU RINCE IT OFF!!! If you dont it will eat your paint. You can also use a razor blade on the glass to get the vinyl off (it won’t scratch the glass) NEVER USE A RAZOR BLADE ON THE PAINT BECAUSE IT WILL DIG CHUNKS OUT OF IT AND THAT IS BAD!!!!!!!
June 1, 2006 at 3:32 pm #146579pachecoParticipant$400?????????
It only cost me $100 to have my sign person apply the first set 3 years ago and $150 (due to the mismatch and changes in lettering sinc, etc in the 3 years) to apply the second set a couple of months ago.
$400 is a tad bit on the high side for me.
June 1, 2006 at 4:01 pm #146580Mn09ParticipantThe $400 is for the removal only.
The new logo package will be $1200 until June 1, 2007 then it will go up to $1600. You will have to place the order for the new logos throught Heaven’s Best Corporate office. Your Local Sign-A-Rama will NOT do anything to your van without approval and the order going throught me. It will take about 1-2 weeks for everything to be set up to get your logos from the time you order.
I would suggest to all the operators to remove your own logos. It will save you $400
June 1, 2006 at 5:19 pm #146581pachecoParticipantAdam…I guess my comment was addressing the exhorbitant cost for removal as compared to our local cost for placement at $100, which takes much more time and should cost more to do..not 4 times less.
It just seems high priced and I would never have them remove the lettering…at those costs, as I would not have had them place the lettering for more than $100 either. I would suspect that Sign a Rama would charge much more than $100 to place the now, old logo package.
Just seems like a high price to me. I am sure that others in the country have higher and possibly more competitive pricing, but $1200 x 2 or $2400, is a lot of money and anyone who is not watching their dollars in this economy is not too tightly wrapped.
Gotta get to work to start putting $100 bills away for this….
June 1, 2006 at 6:37 pm #146582HB2003ParticipantI contacted the sign-a-rama here in Greenville, SC and they charge $75 an hour to remove the old graphic. They said it might take 2-3 hours…

$1200 Dollars!!I have to give up my adoption (my first born) for this.
I think the new logo package looks great, but not for $1200.

Yes, I must bluntly say that $400 to remove is a scam!
EDIT:
I thought this through. The reason for the high cost is so that YOU will remove it. I think that they don’t want to.
June 2, 2006 at 1:16 pm #146586RichParticipant😀 Another way to take off the logos is with a pressure washer just don’t get to close or you may take off some paint. come at it from an angle that worked best for me. After there off if you use a product called Goof Off it will take off the glue and will not harm the paint. You can get it at home depot in the paint section. As my grandson would say Have fun today OK.
June 4, 2006 at 5:25 pm #146587AnonymousInactiveI just found that I get to drive 400 miles round trip to the nearest Sign-a-Rama franchise!
June 5, 2006 at 3:01 am #146588AnonymousInactiveIm with Dan Small, I live in the middle of BFE and hope that Sign a Rama doesnt’ have some outrageous trip charge or mileage charge to come put the logo on. I wont’ be paying someone $400 to pull stickers off for a couple of hours.
June 5, 2006 at 8:48 pm #146589HBPuyallupParticipantI have some customers that I clean for the have a business here that can put on the new logos. Can I have them but them on instead of sign a rama. I would rather give them the business than sign a rama.
