Sorry I never responded to your question. For customer contact, we do the postcards thru service monster, plus we send out a holiday coupon every year to all of our customers that is good for just Jan thru March ($25 off carpet cleaning and 10% off any additional services). We used to send monthly newsletter, but postage is just too expensive anymore. We do also email our “blog” from our website whenever we post something new. It hits all of our customer emails that we have collected (they can opt out if they want), plus all of our social media sites.

That is a good point about the pictures. We have recently started taking before/after photos for all vacant properties we clean where the customer or property manager isn’t meeting us there at some point during the job and save them to the customer in Service Monster. Good way to cover your butt just in case they have questions/concerns after the fact. We won’t email them unless there is a reason to, but service monster isn’t capping storage capacity at this time, so it’s a no brainer in our opinion to use it.
