I was just wondering if it would be possible to buy pads individually instead of in a pack of six.
The budget is pretty tight right now and I would like to get more pads, but can’t seem to scrape together enough to pay for a set.
For example, I need just a couple more stair pads so I have less of a chance of running out of clean ones in a day when I clean a lot of stairs. Also I need a couple more BBC pads, but not six. I would like to try the other stairs pads (woven turf and microfiber), but again, can’t afford buying six and then finding out I don’t like them.
I just thought I would introduce the idea. You may find that operators would buy more pads overall and use newer pads to clean (which would make for cleaner carpets and a better image for Heaven’s Best) by selling them individually. Kind of like Sam’s Club vs. Wal-Mart.

Yes, I’m off subject of original post, but a variety pack sounds good. Many operators haven’t used anything other than their original choice of pads at purchase. One of each to confirm what you like the best! I like the idea.October 5, 2013 at 3:54 pm #155695AnonymousInactiveI ordered several cases of the woven turf pads and was initially disappointed with the decrease in quality. They are lighter in weight, less ridged and smaller in diameter. After giving them a fair trial, I now really like them. They are great for commercial cleaning as they are much more aggressive. With their small diameter and lighter weight, you can put more in the washing machine. They are very excellent for any type of carpet under any soil conditions. I believe the only negative aspects are their durability, difficulty of centering them under the drive plate and keeping them looking white.

I used to think it was because they had cotton in them, Instead they have a rayon mix. Not quite as absorbent as cotton but more absorbent then the polyester pads. More absorbent means less time buffing for the same results. Downside, keeping white as Brian stated as well as, pads don’t last quite as long.
Trade off: Time is money too. Less time cleaning, less pads to clean, and a small additional pad cost.
Can you tell I prefer to use woven turf pads…?Reminder: If pads are continually “drifting” it may be time to look at a new drive plate, new pads, or carpet not moist enough…
If any of the pads are dried out they are not as absorbent and must be a bit moist to get epic cleaning. Cleaning them once before using on carpet help stabilize the fibers and leave far less lint. (Loose fibers)
Happy cleaning!
