I was contacted today by a company that helps you get reviews from your customers and post them on your website. I assume I’m not the only one that has been contacted by this company. A couple of things that I like is the reviews. One its a third party review and the publish them on Google, Yahoo and other places. Google reviews on the map listing got me a ton of work and it was free. You just need the customers to leave you ones. I guess I would like to know if there is anybody that does this. They give you a 30 day trial and don’t even ask for a credit card or billing info. I would like the feedback. Their claim is that the consumer is 10%-20% better to call you with the reviews on there. Thanks for the help.

One thing that would worry me though is what is this company doing with my customer’s info once I pass it on to them, even if it’s just a name and phone number (cell?). Make sure the agreement says they will not pass the info on to other partner companies, or that they don’t solicit the customer themselves in some other fashion. Hate to lose a customer because of what some other company does that can be traced back to you.

That sounds very much like the same company I use for customer reviews. We started out with a 30-day trial during which we got 2 good reviews. We’re new, I decided to give it a go for a few months at least. I’m sure it really helps with the trust issue if a potential customer can read some third party reviews.
I feel comfortable doing business with this company. They’ve been straightforward with me. The reviews are mine and I can post them elsewhere. I’ve been posting snippets in the sidebar on my website, and I use a Facebook app they provide to post them on my company Facebook page.
It’s too early to tell how much they have helped our business. Like I said, I think it’s important for the new kid on the block to develop trust, and good reviews can’t hurt.
March 15, 2011 at 1:32 am #154912KS07ParticipantThis is a curious thing to me. I can understand the desire of wanting and even paying someone for the purpose of getting a review of me and the results I get.
I truly get this. but doesn’t HB corp already have a system in place just for said purpose? I don’t think that the HB evaluation cards are very expensive to use although there is a mailing cost involved. Please forgive me if I’m coming accross harsh as I’m really just trying to understand the why of things. I use the HB evaluation cards religously and this has worked very well in understanding what/how the customer is thinking about HB after I’ve left. I’ve been contacted by the “Angie’s list” people but have politely turned down that media also. I know not every area is the same. People act and offer referrals differently in every area. Reviews are presented differently also in every area.
Just curious I guess…

The corporate office does indeed have a system for reviews, and I’m sure it works well once a franchise is established. We’ve been operating since September, and we have given the evaluation cards to every customer to the best of my knowledge. I still don’t know if any have been sent in. I was told that I would receive copies of my evaluation cards by email after I get a few. With the other reviews, they’re posted on the website as soon as they come in, so it’s a more instantaneous review for other potential customers to read. We use this review service now, but we will probably discontinue it in a few months as our franchise becomes more established.
Another thing to consider is the independence of the third party review. The evaluation cards are very good for telling us where we can improve, but some customers who have never heard of Heaven’s Best will probably trust us more if they can read a third party review.
Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong. 🙂
