Hello to all,
I wanted to tell everyone about a new tool that I have found extremely effective for following up with customers or potential customers. It is called sendoutcards.com. What you can do with sendoutcards.com is enter as many contacts into your online account with them as you want, I uploaded my entire customer base along with several contacts from the chamber, my new BNI group, local realtors, and so forth. After you have entered in your contact names and addresses, you create any type of card that you would like to send to them in the mail. There are all types of cards that you can choose from (1000’s) or you can create your own, they are extremely well done, they only allow 300 dpi + quality if you create your own and they are printed on high quality card stock with a glossy finish if you choose. Once you create the card and want to send it out, you simply choose the contacts that you wish to send it to and hit send. At this point you are done. They take care of the rest including postage. Once you sign up with them you just have to run a credit or debit card and keep enough $$$ in your expense account to pay for it. The cost can vary by which type of card you send, anything from a postcard in an envelope to a tri-fold card. I just sent out 277 postcards yesterday to some customers and paid $192 to do it. That includes postage paid too! I can’t even do it for that cost by printing my own which are not near the same quality not to mention the time involved. It is a really cool way to follow up and is a little more meaningful in my opinion. They also have a feature where you handwrite every letter of the alphabet as well as numbers and a few common symbols and send this into them. They upload it into your online account and you can even send personalized cards to people in your own handwriting. You can set yourself reminders for different contact groups and how often you need to send them something. You can enter in birth dates, anniversary’s, and anything else that you don’t want to forget to send. It really is a great tool for sorting your contacts and sending them something meaningful. Another feature is adding gift cards to restaurants, starbucks, home depot and the list goes on, this could be a huge thank you tool for referral programs. Now for the bad news it costs money to sign up. There are different levels of membership and I went with the entrepeneur package of $398.00. There are more affordable packages, but you don’t get all the perks of the $398 one. For example creating your own card may cost you, no personalized handwriting and some other stuff I can’t seem to think of. Also be aware that this company is set up as a multi-level marketing company. I personally signed up strictly for the ability to send out the cards and have no interest in making it a second job or trying to make a buck with it with the exception of cleaning more carpet. To be honest I do not like multi level marketing and the pressure that it puts on people to sign their friends up, so this is in no way an attempt to make money off of you. However it is required when you sign up to give the ID number of the person who referred you, if you are interested just let me know and I will provide you with that. It is just a great way for you to send out awesome looking cards to people and book more customers by doing so. Keep in mind that if the initial investment is a stretch for you, you can sign a few people up and regain your investment. I hope some of you can find this as helpful as I have.

They do offer a fairly cheap way to use the service if you are only sending 20 or so cards out a month. I think the base price is around $10 a month, plus postage. Not bad if you just want to use it for your bigger clients.

We have someone in our BNI group with this service. I am also thinking of purchasing the membership. Thanks for the info.
