The medical profession often encourages us to increase our aerobic activity to stengthen our hearts and lengthen our life span. Sound advice, but beware…there are two kinds of “on-the-job” aerobics. One will bring you a sense of well-being, the other a sense of frustration. One will get you in shape, the other will get you out of shape.
For instance, you can JUMP to conclusions, SIDESTEP difficulty, STRETCH your customer’s and employee’s patience, and PUSH your luck… OR, you can COME TO GRIPS with problems, PAT your employee on the back, LIFT UP morale, and HOLD BACK gossip.
Your choice of aerobics can either motivate or devastate. Choose wisely, for every day you have an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, by the “on-the-job” aerobic activity you participate in.
