Greetings Gods and Goddesses of Grime.
The Concise Oxford dictionary desribes Success as the
” attainment of wealth or fame or position.”
However, long-term success is much more than wealth, fame or postion. My mom always told me that true, life-long success should be built like a house with a strong foundation, walls and roof. The house must have all three components or it will not last very long.
The foundation must be very strong, or the walls and roof will eventually collapse.
The walls must be sturdy, and able to withstand all kinds of weather, from the calm to the chaotic. If the foundation and walls are strong and steadfast, you can climb up onto the roof without fear of the house caving in. When you reach the peak, you can stand and reach out toward the stars.
The foundation represents “being“…how will you be on your journey to success? What are your values and principles that you will use to guide you along the way?
The walls represent “doing“, and your willingness to abide by those values and principles even when the storms in life start brewing and lashing against you. It’s not too hard to stick to those values when the weather around you is calm, but as soon as life’s winds blow against you, will you be courageous enough to stand strong and not comprimise what you believe in? Will you stay connected to your foundation of principles?
The roof represents your success, for you have reached the top. IF you have taken care with “being” and “doing” and built a strong foundation and walls, your peak will be able to keep you elevated for a lifetime!
May you find success in whatever you do.
Until the next time we visit, I wish you well.
Warm regards,
Kathlynn
