InactiveI also use the steam iron on coffee & tea. I have very little success with either. Patrick, dry solvent is the fastest way I have found to remove gum.

InactiveI agree with Bryan on both points.

ParticipantI also follow up with dry solvent but getting most of the gum up with steam and a towel I find it faster then drysolvent alone.

InactiveIs it true, does anyone know, if our coffee and red dye remover continue to work after we leave? Has anyone returned to know for sure?

ParticipantIs it true… coffee and red dye continue to work after leaving?
Red dye, Yes! Coffee not sure.
I have gone back to jobs 6-9 months later, (more than one) where the area exposed to sun light continued to work after I left. even to the point that I could find it.
…it is true!October 28, 2008 at 6:15 pm #149718Anonymous
InactiveWhat about lots of red finger nail polish?

InactiveNail polish: solvent type stuff like tgp, or dry solvent. I’ve had the best luck with non-acetone nail polish remover. If there is a red stain left, red dye remover might work.

ParticipantNail polish we can get out but takes a very long time and I haven’t found anyone who wanted to pay for it when it has been a big spill. Minor ones all of the previous suggestions work.

InactiveAs for the nail polish question:
I have mixed non-acetone remover with our TGP and had very fast and very good results. This was a very deep spot about the size of a lemon. I looked for the spot yesterday that I removed a year ago. Still looks great!October 30, 2008 at 2:18 am #149722HBPuyallup
ParticipantWhat was the mixture? I am assuming half and half.
October 30, 2008 at 11:48 am #149723Anonymous
InactiveActually, I didn’t mix the two products together in a bottle, I just applied both to the spot at the same time.
