Everyone who uses a cell phone needs to sign up for this. If you don’t have text capabilities you need to contact your carrier and get it. There is a new feature coming soon, “Instant estimate request notification”. As soon as a customer requests/hits submit on an estimate request form from the website your phone will be sent a text message with the customers info. This will allow you to contact the customer before they even leave the seat their sitting in. I know Justin at corporate is in the middle of setting up all of the different carriers so it may take a little while for it to go in affect. Log in and go to ” my information” scroll down and you will see the area to fill in your cell # and carrier. set the text notification to yes and there you go. this is going to be an incredible tool.

September 13, 2007 at 3:34 am #150634tx45ParticipantIt’s live now. They are working on getting all of the cell carriers into the system. If you have Verizon and Edge you can start receiving the texts now. Again they are working on getting a bunch of other carriers set up. it should be very soon.

How is verizon working for you Ron? We have thought of switching to them. I have att&t wireless (formerly known as cingular wireless)for now and noticed that wasn’t an option under the my info spot for this new text service but I know as posted above that it is being worked on. Hope it works out with at&t.

I plan on adding all the most common carriers to the list. Once this is completed (you’ll know becuase there will be 15-20+ carriers), feel free to request that additional carriers be put in the list. Right now I have no guarantee that the system will work with all carriers, but the initial results seem promising.
You can expect more information and detailed instructions on using this future in the upcoming newsletter. If you use one of the carriers that is already listed, feel free to try it out.
It should also be noted that you will still recieve and e-mail copy, your customer will recieve the bid request confirmation, and you will recieve the text message. My hope is that this will give you a competitive edge in response time which is sure to help you book the job before you competitor.
