Jason,
Is this going to be a free update?
November 16, 2006 at 6:39 am #147828FL18ParticipantI know your asking Jason, but I think I can answer. Probably not free or so I’ve heard.

I’ll tell you it’s a program that will integrate w/ Quickbooks, but that’s about all I can tell you for right now. Do stay tuned for further info. As information becomes available I will post it. 🙂
There are 5 operators/owners in the field that we will be selecting to try the program out, and then depending on how they like it and what they tell me about their experience, we’ll go one way or the other. I’m really hoping it works because I think it can be a great change for the company, but we will see.
STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER INFO. Please do keep asking questions, and I’ll answer accordingly. 🙂
All of you are awesome and I’m proud to be a part of the family! Thank you.
November 16, 2006 at 5:36 pm #147830FL18ParticipantWe’re proud of you Jason and the quick fit you have become. I do apologize for “letting the cat out of the bag” so to speak. Keep me in mind as a guniea pig. I’ll be more than happy to pay for it after the test run. I know it doesn’t work that way but if selected I won’t let you down. Shoot me an e-mail.
Thanks for the info on posting picks. I haven’t tried it yet but will soon. I will call you if I need you to hold my hand again. Thanks bro. Stay warm up there. We actually got into the 40’s last night. That’s about as cold as it gets.
God bless,

February 26, 2007 at 2:55 am #147833AnonymousInactiveMy understanding is that they are still doing some testing and when the home office hires a new computer guy this project will be moving forward.
April 16, 2007 at 5:33 am #147834AnonymousInactiveAny news on this? Or is the Quickbooks/Customer Manager package the solution to this?
April 16, 2007 at 10:28 pm #147835tn16ParticipantI can’t answer all questions about QB just yet, but I can tell you it is what I am presenting to the incoming training groups. Here are some answer that have helped other operators that have contacted me:
Customer manager is designed to sync up primarily with outlook and quickbooks. It does support the importing of data from quickbooks, csv, excel, access, outlook, and outlook express. Imports from quicken can also be performed.
You may use this program with Quicken instead of Quickbooks, but you will have a limited level of support as I do not have a copy of Quicken to work with.
The Intuit website is a great resource, you can view info about customer manger here, and I’m sure at many other places on the website:
http://quickbooks.intuit.com/product/add_ons/customer_management.jhtmlYou can demo quickbooks simple start 2007 at: http://quickbooks.intuit.com/product/about_quickbooks/trials.jhtml
I wasn’t able to find an actual demo of the customer manager unfortunately.
Customer manager allows you to sync to outlook, which many PDA’s/Smarthphones can already sync to. You can export it to a csv or xls from outlook and open on a viewer program that supports these formats on your PDA. Most of this depends on your phone, if you can sync with outlook appointments and contacts, then you can get that info from customer manager to your PDA.
If you have other questions, please feel free to post them and I will do my best to answer.
April 17, 2007 at 2:08 am #147836AnonymousInactivecurious as to what the significance of syncing with outlook is?
April 17, 2007 at 3:42 pm #147837tn16ParticipantA lot of the PDA’s on the Market today can have the appointments and contacts from outlook imported into them in one format or another. If your PDA can do this, then you can import your contacts and appointments into your PDA.
