I’ve held my pricing on stain protector for a while now. I am at .10/square foot and it’s time to increase. I’m curious on what others are pricing stain protector at. Let’s hear it!

Too complicated for me to chg by the sq. I’m at 50% of the cleaning cost. for both carpets and upholstery. Sorry for, once again, being of no help whatsoeverMarch 26, 2006 at 1:55 am #146103AnonymousInactiveI’m with Dennis, half the price of cleaning or .12/Sq Ft works out closely if your charging .25/ Sq
March 26, 2006 at 4:14 am #146104AnonymousInactiveThat’s how I price it as well.

My price has always for 10 out of the last 15 years has been .12 a SF. Before that was .10.It seems that most that charge by the room, use 1/2 the cost of cleaning. Most that charge by SF charge 10, 12, 14, or 15 cents a SF.
If you don’t measure it’s easier to just charge half the price. If you already have the SF it’s easier charge by the SF.(square foot) It’s what your comfy with.

December 1, 2006 at 12:34 am #146109AnonymousInactiveI am currently at $0.10 per sq ft but after the first of the year it will go up to $0.12. Cleaning costs will go up also. I approved a raise for myself. Approx 95% of my customers get the protector. I just figure it in on the sheet. I used to ask the customer, I assume you want the stain protection? The vast majority said yes so I just went to assuming they wanted it all the time. No one ever questions it on the invoice, Matter of fact a lot of them ask to make sure I applied it.
December 1, 2006 at 6:05 pm #146110AnonymousInactiveif you have a room that is 300sf how many .ozs of FP do you spray on ??? S.F. = .oz FP
December 1, 2006 at 8:00 pm #146111CO11ParticipantWe usually use about one ounce per 20 square feet. So we would use about 15 oz.
December 2, 2006 at 4:36 am #146112AnonymousInactiveIf memory serves correctly, the recomended rate is 1 quart per 600 sqft. or 18.75 sqft. per oz.
