The spray pattern on my power sprayer has gone from a nice fine flat spray to a clumpy half-moon shape. I removed and cleaned the tip however it still spraying poorly. I originally chaulked it up to a loss of pump pressure since my pump is on it’s last leg but now i’m wondering if the nozzle is also worn out.

    Thanks

The brass spray nozzle will wear out. The hole will get larger, allowing a faster flow of solution. Since this happens so slowly, you will not notice that you are gradually applying the solution at a heavier, uneven rate. I replace mine twice per year.

I hadn’t thought about that. But now that you mention it, I can see that the spray pattern isn’t as fine as before. I will be replacing my nozzle ASAP.

I haven’t had a sprayer hose split during the 9 1/2 yrs I’ve been in business. Maybe the hose has a defect that takes some time for it to start leaking.

I haven’t had a hose split in the 8 1/2 years I’ve been in the business. I really doubt it is the citrus boost.

Actually there are some places that make specialty hoses, if for some reason you are haveing trouble with your hoses and you don’t know the cause. My wife actually works for a business that makes hoses and I do have a few suped up hoses on some of my equipment including a stainless steal braided hose on my upholstery mate and some extra heavy duty hoses on my Ninja. However, I do get them for a huge discount. I don’t know what the actual cost would be. As I said before, I haven’t had any trouble with the smaller hoses but I’m sure if you find it cost effective, you can have some made that are more durable.
