I had a customer call and ask me if I can get off petroleum jelly. I don’t know if I have ever cleaned up any off carpet. She said that it just attracted dirt. Has anyone ever knowingly clean this up? What worked? Did the spot come back? Thanks

I did lip balm…1st cousin to pet jelly. I think I used TGP. May take a couple of shots, as I remember. It is clear and very difficult to see. It does attract dirt and that was why I returned, some residual I did not get out became dirty.

All gone now and have customer for life.

    Wish you the best,

I had a customer whose very small child empied a large full container of Vaseline on the bedroom carpet. I used TGP to disolve it and then extracted. There was so much ground in, I spent an hour on a 2 foot square area. It appeared I had gotten it all but that stuff is so greasy that I had to work on the area 2 more times before it was all gone. Of course I explained to the customer the first time, in severe cases like this it would probably take multiple cleanings.
