InactiveI went to a local staples to try and get some business. I got referred to an outside compay called Overland Supply. They take care of all Staples to the east of the Mississippi as well other contracts like Rite Aid. Not sure on the territory they handle with rite aid though.
The contact person is Kim Dunn phone number 800-899-4669
So if any of you are looking for more commercial work give her a call and let her know Mike from Allentown, PA sent ya.
Good luck.

InactiveHey Kim Dunn just gave me a call and asked if I could do a Rite aid for her, she mentioned your name. My question for you is what the heck is a Burnersher? I think thats what she said. I asked her to repeat it. Well I may have misundetstood her, any help would be great. This job would be scheduled every Monday night. 😕

Participantwow
that’s great. I think she is asking you to burnish. this is a form of polishing tile to restore a finish or to add a finish to the floor. That is what it sounds like to me.

InactiveThanks Mike
It all makes sense now, the only thing is that she wants me to purchase a floor machine to do this. Any experience with the one HB offers? I spoke with Cody some time ago about them and it sounded like they were not as effiicient as he hoped for. Any way this would be a weekly job and could grow as there are Rite Aids every where up here.

ParticipantI have burnished many, many floors in the past. It is a high speed buffer running anywhere from 1,200-2,000 rpm +/-… You better be knowledgeable in hard floor maintenance though…it is best described under more specialized floor maintenance services. You most probably do not really want to get into this, unless you wish to expand into other hard floor maintenance services. We do a couple of vct floors but only strip once a year and apply high solids wax in a couple of very small areas.
Hope this helps.

MemberDoes Overland primarily outsource hard surface cleaning or are they looking for carpet services as well? Thanks.

ParticipantThose machines are pricy. Our buffer is able to handle it but it would take you forever with the 17 inch diameter of the Nobles.
