We have been using way too much orange deodorizer in our cleaning solution because my employees must think an ounce is equivalent to a cup. I have had some customers complain of the the strong citrus smell. We like to add a bit of O.D just for the smell of it. To control the mix, I have begun adding 6 ounces of OD to the gallon of 101 concentrate, creating a nice increase in the fragrance without over-doing it. We have cut our product use dramatically. Be sure to shake well before using. We now only increase the OD in an individual jug in extreme odor situations.

I have a large 5 gallon container that I put 2 gallons of 101 in and 1/3 of a bottle of citrus booster. That is what I use to mix our 2.5 gallon jugs each day. Adds a little boost of citrus smell without overpowering like the OD sometimes does. The bigger reason I like citrus booster vs OD is that the OD is a solvent (I believe or some fashion there of) and in my experience it is really hard on the equipment, especially pump seals if you don’t flush the system after using it. We now only apply a diluted pre-spray OD with a dedicated 32oz trigger sprayer. That’s just my 2 cents though, you results may be different.

Yea, I mixed it well
Have you heard of that before?
It’s true, I’ve added a lot of OD to carpets that had bad odors or worse bad pet problems (all over), only to water eyes. The carpets needed to be burnt and replaced after the source of the problem is removed. Instead they just said to do my best…
No, I didn’t spray the cats.September 10, 2014 at 8:41 pm #156067KY13ParticipantGordon- Are you having better success with pet urine odors with OD then Pet Enzyme?
September 11, 2014 at 2:13 pm #156068AnonymousInactiveGordon, I’ve never had a customer complain (to me) about the smell of just our basic 101/citrus boost we use.

Evan, I’m going to exaggerate a little here. When it’s all over the place,(urine) and they are not willing to remove the (uncontrollable) problem, replace the carpet, pad, floor and sub-floor, and they are not willing to pay more for the treatment of pet enzymes (which at this point may not work anyway), and say “Oh, I love my cat. Just do your best”. For my own sanity, I will use OD strait in a spray form. Must I continue discussing the scene from the twilight zone? -
