A place to put your funny (or not so funny) on-the-job mishaps. These can serve as an education for some and/or pure entertainment for others…

    Here’s one:

    Skewered by my urine detector!!

I used my urine detector to pinpoint some dog pee the previous day however when I returned to my truck I neglected to replace the protective cap on the business end. What’s more, I didn’t tuck the device neatly under my van shelving like I normally do. The next day, I was reaching into my van to move some things around and proceeded to skewer (deeply) my right index finger with one of the rusty, crusty probes. OUCH!!! Needless to say, knowing what was probably growing on that prong, I treated the wound as if I had just been bitten by a venomous snake! Luckily I keep a very well stocked first aid kit in my van. Time will tell if this gets little puncture gets infected – crossing my fingers (on my let hand that is!)

Moral of the story, DON’T be too much in a hurry to propery secure your equipment after each job. A little time now could save you a lot of pain later! Also, keep a first aid kit in your van – customers hate to see blood (especially yours) on their freshly cleaned carpets!
