5 star oceanfront hotel. 7 floors, the halls on each floor are 1500 sq.ft. There are 20 rooms on each floor. The carpeted areas in each room are 220 sq. ft. they would like all of these areas cleaned 3 or 4 time a year, any pricing suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks again for all the support,
Jim Wilson

we have a number of choice high end resorts /hotels that we do work for. I am charging .26c- .33c/sq ft for clean and protect. we try to average +$150/h We push our Dry in an Hour process, our dependable service and our professional image. They have been happy with the promise of service and happy to pay a good rate. Every one is happy. Any idea what they’ve paid in the past?

(none are 5 star) They agreed today to pay $400.00 for the hallway’s to be done (1500 sq. ft.) but will not budge on the 25.00 per room price for the rooms. What is the lowest price you have charged to clean hotel rooms? what was the sq. footage of the rooms? & how many at a time do you clean? & how many times a year do you clean them? Thanks so much for your input.

Good LuckMay 7, 2008 at 4:33 am #152061FL18ParticipantMr. Wilson,
I would suggest matching them at $25. $400 for the halls is awesome. My math shows 140 rooms according to your post. That equals a very nice pay day. If these are your typical hotel rooms, or even if they are not, you are coming out on top. I wish I could get that much per room. You could go to $10 a room and still make good money. My average pricing is from $7 to $14 per room. The upholstery, halls, lobby and other public areas are where I make most of my cash on hotels. Good luck and if they want to pay $25, then charge $25. Strongly suggested.

We do the same with hotels as any place else, We have a minimum charge. So if they only want 2 rooms cleaned we still change our min.
You can still make good money at $25/room. You could always try to up sell them on disinfectant, say at even $3 would add to the bottom line considerably and hotels are really into the whole disinfectant/ sanitizing thing.
Also be sure that you are cleaning rooms within a close proximity. It SUCKS to clean 4 rooms on 4 different floors, but 4 rooms in a row is a snap. -
