I’m sort of running out of topics for our newsletters. I like to have at least one topic or carpet cleaning “tip” for the customer with other pertinent company information along with some coupons. What do you guys put in your newsletters? Can we get a list of carpet cleaning tips going in this thread?

    Ron,
We send out a monthly newsletter that is created by Piranha Marketing (based out of Tempe). They are a marketing company that focuses on carpet cleaning companies. They have annual events to help give people ideas on how to increase profit, etc. The only thing we use them for is their newsletter. They do put out a quality newsletter every month that has general facts about the month, famous quotes and other random facts. It seems like we have at least one customer a week that says how much they love that newsletter. One of the things we like about it is that it doesn’t shove carpet cleaning in your face. Let’s face it, besides the people on this board, most “average joes” find carpeting pretty uninteresting and would not look forward to the “new issues” of the newsletter. The newlsetter is in word format, so you can edit it as you please. It costs around $80/month, but is well worth it in our opinion. If you would like me to email you a past copy (unedited and final version), shoot me an email at dave@heavens-best.com or doubled96@yahoo.com. Anyone else is welcome if they are curious.

    Ron,
I know how you feel. I come up with my tech tip every month. Sometimes it feels like there is nothing left to talk about. The things i have to realize though is that sometimes people need to hear the same thing again. The same tip or suggestion explained 6 months later can have a completly diiferent effect. It will be worded differently and it will take place at a different point in time.

Now i’m not by any means suggesting reapeating everything, just a broad topic here and there.

    My 2¢
