Has anyone use the new cleaner? How much better does it work and what about the foam that is causes? Can anyone please give a detail cleaning job using the new stuff.
October 18, 2008 at 12:19 am #152821pachecoParticipantThe old cleaner worked pretty ok for most t&g here…no or very low foam…I don’t like to add more chemicals to control foam. More $$ I spend and less profit….something else to have to keep track of in the inventory, and keep from freezing.

November 7, 2008 at 3:14 am #152824AnonymousInactiveIs there any info on the type of machine we are using now for tile and grout?

We were able to experience a full demo at our state owner’s meeting this past Mon with the tile & grout new system and it’s amazing! The restaurant tile & grout we worked on was, let’s just say extremely greasy and neglected. After applying the new cleaning solution (allowing it to set for 10-20 min) and hooking up the new machine, the scrubber worked like magic and truly left the tile and grout completely clean after only one pass. You may want to contact Dan or John for more info.
November 7, 2008 at 5:26 am #152826AnonymousInactiveWhat kind of machine is the extractor?
November 7, 2008 at 12:31 pm #152827pachecoParticipantI would hope that a video was taken of the demo and could be posted on the website or sent out on request in email.
November 7, 2008 at 2:51 pm #152828AnonymousInactiveI agree with Dave. Believe the Nov. newsletter said the machine costs $4k. Definitely want a video or something (preferably a hands on demonstration) before that investment is made.

The hard surface machine is a Ninja Century unit. I will talk to John today and ask if he can post more info.

Guessing it is this unit, not the unit that many of us currently use. Much higher PSI.
November 7, 2008 at 4:39 pm #152831AnonymousInactiveThanks Laura. Always good to talk to you.
November 7, 2008 at 5:28 pm #152832pachecoParticipantDave,
We have both a Ninja and Up Mate…I looked into converting the 200 psi over to 500 a few years ago and was pretty pricey. Not sure if convertible to 1200 psi. May be doable, but I would guess not. But for this new 1200 psi machine, it looks like we will maybe be going into the HWE business, or at least have the ability to. Lot of money to part with for only tile and grout cleaning.
My 2 cents , Dave
November 7, 2008 at 7:18 pm #152833AnonymousGuestI talked to John this morning and he will be uploading some before & after pictures of our demo this past week. I realize 4K sounds like a big investment (especially during the slow months), however, during our seminar, we discussed the going rate for tile cleaning and the min. was $1/sqft & max. $2/sqft. Also, keep in mind this machine may be ideal for med-lg commercial jobs. If we are able to land four cleaning jobs at 1,000 sqft each, that would pay for the entire package.
I myself have not targeted or worked on many tile/grout jobs, however, I find I need to invest in this package if I am to offer this service.
November 7, 2008 at 8:03 pm #152834Larry youngParticipantI looked at the upgraded Ninja last year for tyle and grout the one I was looking at had an ajustable psi on it so it could be used for apholstry two.
