Use clear/non-acetone finger nail polish remover. I’ve also used red dye remover and that has worked.

Ron is correct. I called and asked this question to Cody a couple of years ago. Avoid getting the polish remover down to the backing, as it will damage the glue in the same way TGP will. Dwell time is important. Be patient and let the product do the work. Open a window, nail polish has a strong odor. As for the red dye, I have not tried this. Thanks for the suggestion Ron.

If the nail polish is thick it may take awhile. Applie polish remover, gently aggitate with towel, extract, repeat and don’t be discouraged, as I said it may take awhile. I got a call from a customer 3 years ago, she was in tears, after her daughter spilled 1/2 a bottle on the bottom stair. It took me almost two hours and 3 bottles to get the polish out of the carpet. She was thrilled and I was the neighborhood hero!

Nail Polish remover works great. You have to be careful with it. It can dye the carpet. Clear is the best but I can rarely find it and have it acteone free.

In addition to the nail polish remover, I applied tgp along with it as a mix. This worked amazingly fast. Neither the polish remover or tgp worked alone but the two together worked fantastic!!!!!!!

    Tim and Travis,

How did this one end up for you? Success? Partial success? Failure? Just curious.
