I think the little girl in the ad is beautiful but I have a question. My area is primarily Hispanic or Mexican American. To be exact, 95%. Please, no one take this to heart and don’t think I’m racist, by no means, but I have heard of companies targeting certain races. For example, a billboard of children playing with Rawlings sports equipment. Instead of a variation of race, they put all hispanic kids. Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m white, my son is half hispanic, half white. Color doesn’t matter, nor race. I actually heard this in a marketing class. It is silly but it does make sense. Do you guys plan on using any other kids of various races and colors, for the flyers maybe, or just the cute little girl we have now. Again, nobody take it wrong. It was just a question that made some marketing sense.

It doesn’t matter to me who I clean for, but I am in a primarily hispanic area and I don’t want to send off any bad vibes with the picture of the girl.

When my wife makes pancakes or waffles, I think of Aunt Jamaima’s syrup. An association
My wife mentioned that when she buys snacks she is always thinks of “Little Debbie” products. An associationCorporate branding is often, but wrongly, referred to as an exercise where the company logo, the design style and color scheme are changed. Branding is all about creating unique identities and positions for products and services, hence distinguishing “assocaiting” the offerings from competitors.
Corporate branding is more of an association.
The founder of Sony, Akio Morita, once said: “I have always believed that the company name is the life of an enterprise. It carries responsibility and guarantees the quality of the product.” A strong and well-balanced corporate brand orchestrated throughout the corporation by a passionate CEO and his team can lead to very successful and sustainable financial results.

June 11, 2006 at 7:48 pm #146779pachecoParticipantHe visited our RCA, Videodisc plant in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1983 I believe. I was the environmental, Health & Safety Manager working for the Director of Human Resources.
I was no more than 15 feet from him when he entered the facility and was a minor part of the tour.
Preliminary work for this man was awesome…Dr. Brandinger, VP Video Disc Operations, was a blithering genius and respected this visitor very much. Every Japanese in the world at that time had a camera when they travelled. They were all confiscated from the entourage when enteing the plant…but this guy was known to have a PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY!! They showed him only part of the process, the stuff they knew he could not do anything with. They asked to see more, knowing they were not seeing the entire operation.
Without cameras and a very scripted tour, it was short and the State Department was ticked. He had almost refused to enter the facility with no cameras being allowed.
He was indeed a very smart and wise man and widely respected. I personally think he respected Dr Brandinger even more…in some respects.
