MemberHey, was wondering if any of you had encountered this. My electric sprayer leaks out of the bottom when I turn it on. It looks like it is leaking out of the batter compartment, I assume from one of the hose connections. Is that a normal occurrence or should I try to fix it? Looked like it might be a little to complex for me to fix it myself.
thanks,

ParticipantHey Trever,
Call your state owner or the corporate office to see if they can walk you through this.October 17, 2007 at 2:23 am #150796Anonymous
InactiveTrevor,
It’s not completely uncommon that there may be a leak with your hose connections in the battery compartment. It’s usually an easy fix. If you look into that compartment with a flashlight, you should be able to tell if there is a leak and where it’s at. You’ll notice there are some band clamps. Usually, to tighten those will fix the problem. You may have to take the top shelf off to expose and get to those clamps. Good luck.October 17, 2007 at 6:02 am #150797Anonymous

ParticipantOn the same note, has anyone found a good solution for the leaking tip of the sprayer handle? I try to drain it out the best I can when I am done, but it still leaks onto the floor of the van leaving residue around the edges. I would think that there would be some kind of cover to put on the end, but haven’t found anything yet.

InactiveBayden,
The wand on the sprayer leaks because the valve closes the flow at the beginning of the wand, leaving the wand full of solution. When carrying the sprayer across the floor, hold the tip up. When storing it in your van, fabricate a hook that holds the wand in a vertical position.October 20, 2007 at 3:20 am #150800Anonymous
InactiveHad the same type of leak on mine. Removed the battery and noticed it was leaking somewhere on the pump itself. Only way to get to it was to remove the bottom of the sprayer base to be able to remove the pump. Had to be the constant vibration which was enough to loosen 2 small screws on the pump. Problem fixed. Also had to replace the red sprayer hose one time after 4 yrs of use, the cleaning solution eventually degraded the hose and caused it to crack.
