Several times Cody has mentioned in the monthly newsletters about paying a salesman to book jobs for you. Of those who are participating, how did you find the salesperson? If it was an ad, how did the ad read? Has anyone tried Craigs list? Are you paying by % after receiving payment from the job? If so what percentage? How’s it going for you? A few inquiring minds want to know?
December 10, 2010 at 8:46 pm #154660AnonymousInactiveI’ve posted on Craigs list twice with disappointing results. I have received several request for information and after explaining who is Heaven’s Best and the job details they have all passed. I get the impression they are looking for something that is new and super hot or they can make fast money. It is worded as a part time job and pays 15% commission. I’ll be changing strategies soon, which is to be determined!

After placing an ad in there I received several ph calls, but after explaining to them about job description, everyone tolled me that they have to think about it and if so they will call me back. So I don’t have a good experience with Craigslist either regarding hiring sales person.
Than I just started to ask around in my neighborhood and within couple of days my neighbor asked me, when can he start. I said, great, we can start right away 🙂 . It’s been a month since he started with me and (so far) he loves it. Yeah great young guy, just finish college, eager to work and lives right next to my house. It’s a strictly commission 20% of whatever he will bring on table.
So finally I got lucky 🙂December 17, 2010 at 11:51 pm #154662AnonymousInactiveI found 3 people by personal contact that were interested initially. All said they were interested but after sending them information I haven’t heard from any of them. I call their phone, leave message and send e-mail and still no response. Guess they really were not interested as they said.

That may be a good point of contact for you. And maybe don’t put the compensation in the ad. just discuss that in an interview. Get them in the door first. After talking with them you may decide the percentage sohould be different depending upon how agressive they are and etc. We really feel this has a great potential for all of us.
