I want to thank everyone who attended the International Seminar.

During the banquet Mark Anderson had a medical emergency. He was rushed to the hospital leaving us all wondering about the outcome. I am happy to report that He is doing fine, and has been released from the hospital. He will have some additional tests once they return back home.

Mark Pryor who left the Seminar early to get back home to his wife who is in stage four with a cancer battle just told me that the Doctors were able to start the cancer treatments again, so all is going as good as can be expected.

Dan Child was sick for a lot of the seminar and spent the time in his room so he would not make everyone else sick, but he is back home now and is starting to feel much better.

At the seminar we told everyone about Randy Bird who is currently having some major health issues. You can read more about him at http://www.everythingwillbefine.com/

We will be talking a lot more about the seminar and what was taught in the near future. I welcome the comments and feed back from those who attended.

First Class Seminar Cody…….Deb and I want to thank you and your staff for a job well done . For those who did not attend I can only say it will cost you way more than the expense of attending for not going . Lets all take some ideas from the seminar and grow our business. Spring is near …Phones will ring.

Thank you for the update Cody and thanks to the entire HB team for putting on a first class event! I would also like to thank all of the Owner/Operators who took valuable time away from their families and businesses to put together presentations to help ME and all of their fellow operators! Success comes not only from doing for yourself, but from helping others. The presentations were extremely informative and thought-provoking. Great ideas, suggestions and food for thought. Prior to the seminar, I NEVER would have entertained the idea of doing 100k plus square foot commercial account. I feel now that I have the knowledge and confidence to go after those accounts.

I also picked up some fantastic information about:

    1 – multi-van operations
2- getting more clients via the web (internet marketing)
3 – the need to develop employees
4 – the secret to Bonner’s sucess! (thank you Jim)
5 – customer service (thanks Matt Dooley)
6 – managed carpet care (going after trhe BIG fish)
7 – how to speak english (the U.K. kind)
8 – how to “Tbow” (that’s another story)

The list of topics goes on and on. In addition, thanks Dan, Dennis, Stephen, Stan and all of our impromtu panel speakers for sharing their time and experience to help me get more of what I want out of my business. So many other franchises define success for you, the great thing about Heaven’s Best is that each operator gets to define his or her own success.

For as much as I learned in the scheduled sessions, I learned just as much during breakfast, lunch and dinner sitting and speaking with other operators about their businesses. You simply cannot put a price tag on the value of this kind of education.

Finally, seeing Mark taken away in an ambulance during the banquet, while unfortunate, drove home quite clearly one of the themes of the event; life is so very unpredictable, we all need to have a back-up plan in place.

I look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

    Sincerely,
    Marc Manfre

A quick update on Mark Anderson–He had three more siezures on Friday night, but he and Kathy are home and met with his doctor on Monday. He has a MRI and another test scheduled for Thursday.

Mark Pryor’s wife is back home, but is now trying to decide if she wants to go through any more treatments. Mark and Kathy are both very thankful to all who assisted them the night of the banquet. Jeanette Rose, we cannot thank you enough. We have such great people in our business. Thanks to each and every one of you who helped that night.

Randy Bird’s daughter is getting married this week in California.

We wish for the best for all our friends who are undergoing medical trials.

John Holibaugh, our commercial account presenter, spent a lot of time on the phone today with Doug Larsen, one of our New Mexico operators, discussing a 25,000 square foot carpeted building that would need to be cleaned monthly.

I really appreciate those who are taking the time to comment on the International Seminar.

Marc, you were right on with your comments. A huge part of these seminars is the interaction that takes place between the operators. Thanks for all who attended.

Thank you Cody for the updates and great seminar as well.
To bad we had a seminar after my Estimate on 95,000 sq.f. VerizonWireless call center. As soon as I got home I tried to contact the person who I spoke to but, I’m unable to reach him anymore and he is not answering my E-mail/call.
Life goes on and there is a lot of commercial buildings in my area.
Also thanks for the price, I needed those pads 🙂 My plan was, as soon as I get home from seminar I’ll have to order some pads, now it can wait.
So, when is the next seminar ?

Thanks to everyone who has shown concern at the Seminar and afterward for my wellbeing after having a seizure at the closing banquet in Orlando. The Dr. has suggested no more testing has I have had no more seizures. We hope it was a once in a life time experience (80% of the time it is). No prescribed medications, just no driving for 3 months (this is killing me). Kathy and I just want to say a big Thank You for everyones involvement and concern. What great people are involved with Heaven’s Best. They truly are Heaven’s Best. We will always cherish the friendship we have built with you.

It is with sadness that I inform you that Mark Pryor’s wife passed away last Thursday. The wake was this evening and her funeral is tomorrow. Dan Child will be at her funeral representing Heaven’s Best. We have sent flowers on behalf of the entire company. Mark and his wife Sheila have two girls still at home. One is in 6th grade and one is in the 10th grade. It is my understanding that it was only a few months ago when they discovered that she had stage 4 cancer.

Mark runs Bakersfield, CA. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mark and his family during this time of sadness.
