Has anyone noticed the new ICS magazine for November with the article on page 12 that has a Heaven’s Best operator in the photo?
More importantly, how many of read the article on Importance of Documentation? And if you do this, we would love to share ideas. We feel this is SO important to have some sort of disclaimer or more documentation on the invoice. Please help with some feedback on what you are doing in your business.
Thanks,

We usually don’t have a problem in a regular residential job, but on an empty house or apartment it is crucial. Because I am not on every job I have to count on there documentation to back up our work. If I get a call back I always pull the invoice. This has saved us many times when there were permanent stains or problems. I have not read the article yet, but I am usually the last one to get the magazine. I can’t figure out why it comes so late to me. I did the photo shoot last year for ICS and we have been in almost every issue. Sometimes it is just my shoes, but sometimes we get lucky and they keep our logo in the picture.

Thanks,

This way you have 1 for the office 1 for the book and 1 to mail. I end up doing a lot of estimates on apartments. We now leave 1 in apt taped to thermostat 1 in office and 1 in our book. This has saved lots of time and frustration of having to go back and find an estimate. I have never had a problem with the invoice book. I have looked into having custom made books, and it was not worth the money and time. I know that when I need more books they will be on the door step in a few days. We go through 70-80 books a year and It makes it easy to order them on the hb store.
