We have a client we’re cleaning for this week that had a tenant move out who was a chewer and dumped his cup/spitoon over onto the carpet and didn’t tell her. Any ideas or prior experience with a set in-spit encrusted-chew stain would be helpful so we can go in armed. Otherwise it will be extra time of trial and error for us.
Pro-spotter with dwell time would be a good place to start. Flush the heck out of it when ready. (I mix pro-spotter in a small spray bottle as such: 1/3 101, 1/3 citrus booster, 1/3 water)
I agree w/ my good buddy Bryan. The second line of defense may be your blood remover. Tobacco is a plant (protein). Blood remover is a protein stain remover. Dwell time is the key element.
I sent the list of suggestions with Jeremy when he went to clean. Like John always says in training…start with the 101. Jeremy started by just extraction and the 101 did the job. Since chewing is quite common in our area, I’m sure we’ll run on to it again. Thanks for the tips and we’ll be sure to keep them for the next one!
