The best advise I can give you is to get some crayon, if you have any spare carpet then draw 5 lines of the same color crayon then try the solvent, TGP or whatever else you want to try. Remember that the more products you try on one stain the more chance you may be setting it. The last thing you will want to try, “see the results for yourself” is to try and remove it with an iron. MOST LIKELY YOU WILL HAVE HEAT SET IT AND NEVER BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT! Try it. In my experience I have been able to remove crayon if the customer has not attempted to remove it with an over the counter product. It may be possible that the customer will deny using anything so beware and don’t make it your problem.
    Good luck.

A customer’s young child had made 6 large swipes with an orange crayon on a new white kitchen chair they had delivered 2 days earlier. The wife was upset and feared the crayon was permanent. They called me and I stopped the next day, looked inquisitive at it, did a couple of hmmms and felt it, mostly for show. I pulled out the TGP applied a little to a spotting towel, some light rubbing and like magic it was gone. I extracted any residue TGP with the Spot Plus machine and reapplied protector. I was a hero. Took all of 10 minutes and made $50.
