I was wondering what some other operators are bidding on there keywords in order to show up higher on google adwords. I had a really low bid set for all of my keywords and i just raised it. Within one day i went to number one on all of my keywords. I just want to know what a safe bid is.

I show up in the top 4 on most searches and depending on the time of day and clicks that I have had. If you are showing up 1st then I would lower it down so that you are in the top 4-5. I have seen some areas where they only pay $2 for top bidding. It is something that you have to play around with and change. I suggest looking at it over a weeks worth of time and adjusting so that way you get a better picture of where you are landing. I also pay out $600-700 a month for my campaign.

The only problem was you were sandwiched in between what looks like a couple of bait and switch guys advertising a full house for $39. I would change your add to look a little different and stand out from these low ballers. Something that is a little more eye catching can make a big difference. Also we found that local carpet cleaning has done real well for us. You should always have the url land on your page like you are doing now, but the displayed url can be just http://www.HeavensBest.com It will still go where you want it, but it looks cleaner and the capital HB stand out. Just a suggestion and good luck. Hear are a few examples of what is working for me.

What type of ROI have you been getting with Adwords? Any other suggestions using that program, I am getting ready to start a campaign myself.
Has anyone noticed using adwords targeting a smaller city in a surrounding area being better than competing within the main bigger city at all, or no difference???
Thanks

I switched my account to all networks including googles partners. I am getting more clicks and spending more money but not getting very many calls. Please let me know whats working for you. Thanks
