all great ideas, thanx .My employee worked over the Memorial Day weekend ,he was happy to do that and wanted the hours. He made me some good $$ he made good$$ too. i gave him a cash bonus for his hard work . He was very grateful. I am grateful for him!! Remember to give the guys that do you a good job a little extra once in a while. It will definately pay off !

Most people only want to be recognized and appreciated for their effort. A little extra pay is good as well. Lunches, golf, etc like some of you have mentioned is great as well.

When I worked in restaurants, it was always nice when the Manager said good job. Most of my Managers said Thank-you after EVERY shift. Nothing is worse than busting your butt and no one cares or notices. Thats when you get discouraged and start looking for other work.

i think you can find a great employee and pay them either way . it all boils down to what both of you are you are comfortable with. i also think you need to take them to lunch or give them a little extra now and then

Yes, we have our employees sign the “Confidential and Non Competition Agreement”. You can find a copy in the back of the procedures manual.

I just found a guy who is willing to do sales/marketing for me. Do you have any sales rep, if so how do you pay him?
    Thanks

2 articles worth reading if you are hiring a dedicated salesperson. Won’t specifically give you an answer on their pay, but just good points to consider.

Thanks Dave. When you hire an employee, do you do background check? I can see that everyone on-line is charging $20.00 – $40.00 per employee screening. Is there any company for free?
    Thanks

Free? Sure! Just go 65 in 25 mph Zone. Get those pretty red and blue disco lights shinning behind you, there’s your free back ground check!!!
Seriously, Cody has the forms to do an employee back ground check. I can not recall the price. I’m willing to bet your state owner Cody can help you! (The form! Not the 65 in a 25.)

close to u in your rear view mirror 😀
    Thanks Gordon,

Just wondering with the new salary and overtime regulations becoming effective In December, now having to pay employees for all overtime and not allowing the banking of hours of busy weeks to make up for slow weeks unless they are paid over $47,000 per year, how are franchises with employees going to handle this? Particularity with the slow season of winter soon to be upon us. I wouldn’t want any employee to be economically hurt if there wasn’t enough hours for him to work.
