Have any of you noticed your competitors advertising Dry In 1 Hour? In my area , in the last two years, I’ve had two truck mount companies pop up who are advertising this.
January 29, 2008 at 11:16 pm #151481AnonymousInactiveNo one in my areas has used this, mainly because it isn’t dry in one hour! All the locals soak ’em up good. They are the best for me getting more business!
January 30, 2008 at 2:21 am #151482NJ05ParticipantI have seen “dry in a couple hours instead of a couple days” in my area. If a HWE guy has the real deal as far as equipment is concerned and knows how to use it, they can dry faster than people think. If they have the ronco 200 well then…….It’s got to be like ….a… “Binford 2000”. Now your talkin….

January 30, 2008 at 4:09 am #151484AnonymousInactiveWe have a company that is in every Valpak type mailer and offers regular HWE for a price “X”, and then has a more expensive package that is “true steam cleaning” (or something like that) that they charge more for that they say will be dry in about 2 hrs. Only seen one of their trucks once. When I get one of their mailers again, I’ll repost their verbage and offer.

Ed H.January 30, 2008 at 4:11 pm #151486jdmartin401ParticipantWe have a HWE competitor that recently purchased new equipment that was advertised as being able to dry in 90 minutes. He did a demonstration at a chamber meeting on a very dirty commercial grade carpet that was dry in less than 1 hour without any fans etc.

January 31, 2008 at 12:13 am #151488AnonymousInactiveStrange they state they use cold water. Why would you advertise that, and why would you use cold water other than for area rugs?

Clleaning a small area and having it dry quick in a large meeting room is a trick. An illussion. No big woop.
Clean the whole room or a whole house and the tune changes. The air gets saturated and the drying stops.
Hours pass. The rx20 is big bulky and heavy. It can do a better job than a wand but from what I’ve heard, lots of guys go back to a wand so they can go fast.
BUT
most of all, they are still cleaning with products that do not work as well as ours.
No mater the equipment, drying time or cost, we still can do a better cleaning jobJanuary 31, 2008 at 1:25 pm #151490jdmartin401ParticipantDennis
Thanks for the info. on the RX20 and wand. I’ve never seen the RX20 in person but it looks like it would be heavy. The only wand I’ve used is the one I got from HB and I try to avoid using it as much as possible!
I also believe we can out clean the competition!
Have a great day!
