I sprayed some the other day and t broke up a nasty stain, before cleaning and the customer was shocked…I hadn’t even cleaned the carpet and it already looked 100% better with only the FAE before buffing…it broke up whatever was there…amazing stuff.

That’s a great point! The dirt napper can really tear up a baseboard. But after a while you become almost like a diamond cutter and only slip once in a while huh?
And it is amazing what it can do to light coffee, tea and light filtration lines.
Also, it works great on foot traffic and body oils, be it from a cat or dog’s favorite spot or where there is a lot of bare-foot traffic (in bedrooms, ect)…
**forgot to mention in previous postI couldn’t find in the manual, the life span for the F.A.E. once mixed, but if memory serves me correctly at the training it was 3 hours, I could be wrong, that WAS over 7 ½ years ago. I have used it mixed up to at least 6-7 hours, I don’t know how many of the little buggers are still alive, all I know is, it still works. The only time I “don’t”
Pre-mix, is on commercial work. That’s when I need all the little buggers to work for sure.See ya!
March 15, 2007 at 6:43 pm #149144AnonymousInactiveAccording to my manual FAE is only good for 30 mins but I am sure it will work well past that. I used it a few times at an hour old and still worked
March 16, 2007 at 7:32 pm #149145pachecoParticipantForgive me for my ignorance….but what is alive in FAE?
March 18, 2007 at 9:27 pm #149146pachecoParticipantSorry, and I apologize if the previous post sounded like a smart, or rather stupid remark, (just the chemist in me coming out)… but enzymes are not alive at all, but chemical compounds that help to speed up chemical reactions. The chemicals don’t die, just lose effectiveness over time.
April 13, 2007 at 5:25 am #149147NJ05ParticipantI Have a trick I use on the dirt napper. along the outer most portion of the napper, you know the part that comes in contact with the base boards,,, I took some eletricl tape and wraped it around the edge a couple of times…when it gets paint on it I just unwrap and replace…works faily well and is faster than cleaning the paint off with tgp…I learned the lesson the hard way when the paint that rubs of baseboards to the napper then comes off on everything it comes in contact with… dark furniture etc..
April 13, 2007 at 5:26 am #149148NJ05Participantspecial electricl (electricle) tape’;’
April 13, 2007 at 11:40 am #149149pachecoParticipantLooks like another use for duct tape…it might be a little wider and stick better. But electrical tape is a great idea. Just don’t have any around. I will try with duct tape on van already next time we use dirt napper..
Thanks for the tip.
April 13, 2007 at 11:48 am #149150AnonymousInactiveI have found it not necessary to run a dirt napper close to walls and furniture. I use it primarily down the high traffic lanes.
April 13, 2007 at 2:53 pm #149151AnonymousInactiveThe key to FAE is to spray let sit 15 Min. then clean. Make sure thet you spray enough that it stays wet until you clean or you have wasted the FAE Thank You Blair
March 3, 2011 at 3:30 pm #149152Loren TurnerParticipantI can’t remember the last time I did a job without using the dirt napper and the fast acting enzyme. I think I actually save time.
March 26, 2011 at 1:55 am #149153KY13ParticipantWow steve. I know you’ve been in business a lot longer then me, but it sounds to me like you need to put more faith in our 101!
Either that or you have some REALLY dirty customers lol.March 26, 2011 at 2:52 pm #149154AnonymousInactiveI use FAE maybe 2-3 times a year (maybe I need to use it more) and I haven’t used the dirt napper in 2 years. Everyone has a comfort level. As a seasonal comparison I know people who use a power rake every year on their lawn and people who have never used one.
March 26, 2011 at 7:10 pm #149155hbottumwaParticipantI use FAE 90-95% of the time. In my experience, when you process procedures correctly, you actually save time, product, and have better results. Please forgive the small town talk. I live in a 13k area, 24k in my county. I have had in this small area as much as eleven competitors. (Great area to live and work in) I consistently do 50-55k annually. (plus state owner responsibilities) Without FAE and the use of the towel cleaning, I know I would not have this success. Better results lead to better word of mouth, better jobs, and more of them!
What were really talking about here, is “raising the level of Customer Satisfaction!” Desire, FAE, towel cleaning, and Fabric Protector are four major, major contributors.March 28, 2011 at 1:25 am #149156Steven WelchParticipantwe use our dirt napper all the time and FAE on the dirty ones. the napper works great on traffic lanes, and if there are any stains we use FAE on them.
