I used the defomer the other day for the first time. It’s is my new favorite product. I had about 15 big urine spots about the size of dinner plate some were two or three. I used a whole bottle pet enzyme on the spots. Let sit ya da ya da ya and went to extract put a cap full of defomer in the recovery tank. The recovery tank filled up with water and not suds. I then proceed to sprinkle a little of defoamer on the spots before rinsing with water. (I don’t know it that was okay or not but I did it. Someone let me know if I am wasn’t suppose to do that.) Pet enzyme is like extracting dish soap. Suds keep coming!! I had to use two-thirds less water to rinse out the spots. But is wasn’t that it was the time saving that I loved. It took about 60% less time. Gotta love the products!!!!

    Matt,
Tou are right, the defoamer works very well. I don’t think it would hurt anything to sprinkle defoamer on the spots, but probably not much to gain either. Orange deodorizer is a good defoamer as well. I put a trigger sprayer on my OD bottle and spray a mist on each spot before extracting. You can also add a few ozs. of OD to a gallon of water to use as a rinsing agent. To rinse out soap spills, use the OD/Water rinse.

I have never really had much luck with the defoamer when I sprinkle it down. Maybe I am not doing it right, but I first sprinkle, then spray the solution. I have had great success with pulling out laundry detergent stains or soap etc. when I mix about 2 tablespoons with a small mixing bottle and then apply it to the area. I can pull out a spot of dishsoap the size of a saucer in about 15 minutes and charge $25 dollars. Any other thoughts on this?
