I would like to hear if any of you have cleaned upholstery made by Crypton. I’ve been asked to look at cleaning multiple pieces for a hospital. They have been cleaned previously and I’m told they faded after the cleaning (I haven’t seen the upholstery yet). The hospital has agreed to sign a waiver for liability. I did look at Cryptons web site for the recommended cleaning processes. Didn’t see any thing unusual. However, the previous cleaner may have found a way to alter the appearence. If any one has worked on this before I would appreciate any advice you could share.

    Thanks,
    Rick

This may sound stupid, but it might have been cleaner with the soil removed…maybe?

I had a frantic call one time after I had cleaned a sofa. She said there was a dark band around the sofa and she wad totally pissed… I turned my van around and returned to the scene of the crime.

The area where the cushions hit the sofa had not been faded by the sun coming in the sliding glass door it was facing. The band was the unfaded area.

Food for thought and those new to the business..

    May help someone.

I had the same thought while listening to the customer describe the situation. Spoke with the customer again and found out they tried to clean in house and I’m guessing they don’t have a ton of experience cleaning upholstery. They clean their carpets so they figured they could clean the upholstery. Maybe – Maybe not. I meet with them next Monday and we will see.
